Tamié, Les Frères Marchands selection, close to reblochon, it is a little more creamy. It was originally created in the traditional way by the Trappist monks of the Abbey of Tamié.
Tamié is a cheese from the Savoie region made from raw cow’s milk, produced by the monks of the Abbey of Tamié, located in the Tarentaise Valley. This pressed, uncooked cheese is aged in the abbey’s caves, where it develops an orange rind and a melt-in-the-mouth texture, while retaining a firm paste. Its flavor is mild and creamy, with subtle notes of fresh milk and butter, slightly salty and mildly tangy. Tamié stands out for its pure, delicate taste, making it perfect for a cheese board, in gratins, or paired with a dry white wine from Savoie, such as Chardonnay or Altesse.
