Longan

The longan is a fruit close to the lychee or ramboutan, belonging to the soapberry family. It is growing as clusters on trees, mostly in Asia. It is is highly concentrated in vitamin C and has a mildly sweet, musky flavour. Extremely popular in Asian countries, the longan is said to be equal or superior in taste to that of lychee.
